Student life may seem complicated at times; with the tons of work that you have to do. Sometimes a student may have the feeling that he would be better off without attending or finishing college. The idea that several people in life became successful even without going to and through college also serves to make the feeling of staying in college worse. However, there are four really good reasons worthy of consideration before you pack up and leave college altogether:

1. Life is possible without it but having a college education and degree makes things easier.

Education makes one a critical thinker which is a useful aspect in various spheres of life. The more you advance yourself educationally, the more your perspective concerning different things in life become clearer and better. It is certainly not required to have a college education, but having it will give you valuable foresight and judgement in many future situations.

2. Succeeding in a dream career is more viable with a college education.

There may be a little dream inside of you that longs for a specific career. Your dream may not have to be the kind of work that intellectuals like surgeons and engineers do. However, even with your passion for music or art or fashion or entrepreneurship, a college education will give you the open mind that is necessary for you to look at the impact of your work from different viewpoints. This will give you an easier and healthier chance of career advancement even if you will not use the stuff you learnt in class as much as you will use your natural talent.

3. The chances of getting into crime are more for those without college education.

It may seem a harsh reality but actually this is the truth. Those who skipped college or have little education at all are more likely to engage in crime as compared to those who underwent the process of earning a college degree. Little education offers little room for employment which then means a college dropout will have higher chances of getting involved in criminal activity.

4. You can find things you enjoy doing even as a college student.

Most of those who toy with the idea of dropping out of college do so because they find that this period of learning is boring which makes them believe that they may not need it all. You can make your college years much more exciting by involving yourself in on and off campus student activities that will make your college stay more interesting. Many college and university campuses off special programs and events for their students outside of class work, and when you take the advantage to engage in such, you will graduate with skills in both extra-curricular activities and the course you went there to learn.

Many people have been successful even without college education. However, a big percentage of those who dropped out later regretted this decision — even with their amassed success. You might wish to consider this before you take the next step.
